After numerous unproductive years in the streets of the Bronx playing the role of ½ a tough guy/ Criminal, Wayne decided to turn his life around after an arrest in 1999. Wayne took his first acting class after that arrest and has been acting ever since.
To date Wayne has acted in over 70 films. Most notably “Uptown Girls” opposite Brittany Murphy, “The Guru” opposite Heather Graham, “Law and Order” opposite Vincent Donofrio and “Rescue Me” starring Dennis Leary.
Tired of his head shot being thrown in the bald pile, Wayne decided to make a movie about his criminal life in the Bronx. This amazing film is called “Bronx Paradise.” Wayne wrote, produced and stars in Bronx Paradise.
Gurman's mixture of humor, easy access violence, and ability to laugh at himself combines to create a unique actor whose future is a bright as the stars. Gurman credits the renowned theatre director Gene Frankel with building such a strong acting foundation to draw from and build upon.
